What is your current role?

I’m a Specialist Recruitment Consultant covering Psychiatry across the UK and Ireland.

What is the best thing about working here?

The best thing about working at Charterhouse Medical is being able to make a difference to my candidates lives, I highly respect how psychiatrists contribute towards society and help people and being able to find them their desired job role gives me great satisfaction.

If you reflect on your time with Charterhouse, what have you had the opportunity to learn?

During my time at Charterhouse Medical I have learnt how to be resilient, it’s not always easy but the desire to help my candidates really motivates me to persevere no matter what obstacle is in my way. I have had the opportunity to really get to know my specialty and have learnt how to strategise and prioritise efficiency.

What’s your team like?

The team is really helpful and supportive in any situation whether it is personal or work related, it’s great to have that support network and it really pushes me to achieve my goals.

What support do you receive to enable you to be better at your role?

I have regular reviews with management to analyse my work and to discuss different techniques so that I can improve. Charterhouse Medical are very good at understanding that people have different strengths and weaknesses and may have different ideas that could contribute towards the business, they are happy to consider and provide any areas of training that are necessary.

How would you describe the culture here?

Everyone is hard working and very supportive of each other but we also know how to have a good time! There are great incentives and perks offered by Charterhouse Medical.

What is it about recruitment that you love?

Every day is different, I get to speak to a lot of people and build relationships and I learn something new every day. This is my first role in sales, I have previously worked in other areas of the industry such as sales support, payroll and compliance, having the prior knowledge behind me from my previous roles really allows me to have a good understanding of the business as a whole and it’s great to be able to apply this to my job as a recruitment consultant. Being able to help my candidates find the perfect role is very rewarding.

What gets you up each and every morning and on the way to work?

I look forward to seeing my colleagues and building relationships with candidates and clients, the social aspect of it is highly rewarding and I’ve built some great friendships along the way.

If you could sum up the UK office in a sentence . . . ?

A friendly, vibrant and hard-working team.

What would be the one piece of advice you would give someone starting at Charterhouse?

At Charterhouse Medical you have all the tools to become successful, the key to success is learning how to utilise your resources. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, everyone needs help now and then.

If you’ve worked with other recruitment firms, what does Charterhouse do better than anyone else?

Charterhouse Medical really believe in their values and care about their employees’ wellbeing, the most important aspect is to ensure our candidates and clients have a fantastic experience and we are always looking for ways to evolve and improve.
