What is your current role?

I am currently a Specialist Recruitment Consultant, focusing on Middle grade doctors within Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics. My role requires me to find the ideal placement for SHOs and SPRs within the NHS.

What is the best thing about working here?

The best thing about working at Charterhouse Medical is the continuous support from management and across the salesfloor.

If you reflect on your time with Charterhouse, what have you had the opportunity to learn?

I was new to the recruitment world when I joined the team having only worked in retail previously. Everything I have learned and now know about the industry has been through Charterhouse Medical. I have learned how to be robust & resilient and now a confident specialist in my field.

What is your team like?

The team here is very hardworking, friendly, and supportive.

What support do you receive to enable you to be better at your role?

I have a fantastic mentor who is always available should I have any issues or need additional support. She ensures that I strengthen my weaknesses by providing various training modules and daily tips/reminders. 

How would you describe the culture here?

The culture here is great. There’s healthy competition and great perks to keep the employees happy.

What is it about recruitment that you love?

I love the challenge in recruitment as it keeps you busy and excited to achieve targets. Also, what you put in is what you get out, so you have a great amount of control in your job role.

What gets you up each and every morning on the way to work?

At Charterhouse Medical, we are like a family so I would say the atmosphere keeps me motivated to come to work every day.  Also, the drive to build great relationships with my candidates and clients to succeed at my job and build a career gives me a reason to wake up and cease the day.

If you could sum up the Milton Keynes office in a sentence . . . ?

A joyful office with committed recruitment consultants and great management to support.

What would be the one piece of advice you would give someone starting at Charterhouse?

Do not be afraid to ask questions, no matter how crazy it may sound because everyone here has been in your shoes before so they can relate.
